Dr. Martin has been here since June of 1994 which happens to be right after he graduated from LSU. He started in the industry in 1989 as a veterinary technician and after two years in college as a music education major in percussion, he realized that his joy was working with animals and science. Dr. Martin attended Centenary College and Louisiana State University in Shreveport for his undergraduate studies and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in the summer of 1994. Geaux Tigers!! After graduation, Dr. Martin came to Texas and found his place here at Lovers Lane Animal Hospital which he later bought and changed the name to Lovers Lane Animal Medical Center with his co-owner, Dr. Hays.

He is married to his high school sweetheart, Jennifer, and together they share two daughters, Brindan and Mallory, and their son, Jared. Dr. Martin enjoys celebrating his Catholic faith and is actively involved in his church. As his hobby he plays the guitar, and listens to sorts of genres and can play the blues, country, Christian and rock and roll music.
