Dr. Gianoulis grew up in Stoneham, Massachusetts, and spent most of her life on the East Coast. She later moved to New Hampshire for her undergraduate studies. She obtained a bachelor's degree in biomedical science from the University of New Hampshire, where she also developed a love for cows and even lived above a dairy farm. Dr. Gianoulis worked with a wide range of animals before pursuing veterinary school, including not only dogs and cats, but also large animals and exotics. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University and is Fear Free Certified.
Aside from prior experience in emergency, laboratory animal, exotic, and bovine medicine, Dr. Gianoulis is excited to begin her veterinary career in small animal general practice, with special interests in animal behavior and dermatology. She also believes that owner communication and education are integral parts of her job, and she will strive to communicate the best possible care and options for each beloved furry family member.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Gianoulis keeps busy with hobbies such as hiking, going to the beach, and finding new recipes to cook with her mom. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and partner, as well as going on weekend trips back to upstate New York. Dr. Gianoulis has a lovely young lab mix named Rita, whom she adopted during veterinary school, and a crested gecko named Clifford.
