Dr. Thatcher was raised in Northern California where he developed his love for animals and interest in science. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California-Davis in Animal Science. He did additional graduate work at Oregon State University in Physiology. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the School of Veterinary Medicine-University of California-Davis.
He has been working at VCA Marina Animal Hospital since 1983 where he has developed a close relationship with many clients that he now considers friends.
Shortly after receiving her undergraduate degree from California State University Northridge, August joined our VCA family in 2013 as a receptionist. Her positive attitude and desire to help patients and clients quickly earned her role as the Front Office Supervisor and, ultimately, Hospital Manager. She currently resides in Inglewood California, where she shares her home with her cat (Mango) and dog (Koda). In her spare time she loves exercising, playing video games, watching scary movies, and dancing.
