Q & A with Kellie-Ann
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: I was born and raised on the islands of Hawai'i.
Q: Year you started working in the veterinary field?
A: Being an animal lover since childhood, I followed my passion to become a veterinary technician. Once I graduated from Windward Community College in 2018, I moved to Arizona to pursue my journey toward my dream. I originally planned to do exotic medicine after an internship with the Honolulu Zoo, but plans changed my interest in small animal general practice, then rehabilitation therapy, and finally falling in love and settling with emergency care.
Q: My favorite part working with animals is:
A: Every day, I'm grateful for the chance to care for animals and although at times, working in this field can be tough, it has also been very rewarding for me to help heal those in need and offer a comforting touch during the best and worst moments for owners and their beloved pets. My mission is to ensure every pet receives the love, attention, and expert care they deserve.
Q: Best way to spend a Saturday?
A: When I'm not working, I enjoy spending my time outdoors, traveling, going to music festivals, trying new places to eat, and spending time with friends and family. I also love to play video games, read, and binge watch my favorite YouTube channels, tv shows and movies. I share one cat, Ku'uipo, and two dogs named Shela and Nollie with my beloved husband, Chris.
