Carley has loved animals from a young age, as her parents can attest after years of being begged for pets. While she had initially pursued a bachelor’s degree in psychology after graduating high school. She soon realized that she belonged in the veterinary field, and began attending Johnson College to achieve her degree in veterinary technology, graduating in May 2016.

While in school and after graduation Carley worked in general practice at VCA Dunmore Animal Hospital in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. She transferred to VCA Midwest in Winter 2017. She loves that by working in an emergency and specialty setting, she has opportunities to learn and grow as a technician every day.

Outside of work, Carley’s interests include exploring her new city, traveling, kayaking, and going to the movies. When she can, she tries to visit her family in New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, and California. She has two adorable cats, Cleo and Sundae, who enjoy chasing each other around the apartment at all hours of the night.
