Heather grew up in a small town in Northeast Nebraska and has had a love for animals all her life. She originally majored in Accounting and Medical office Administration in college until she decided it was not for her and decided to pursue a career in the Veterinary field. She attended Vatterott College in the Veterinary Technology Program and graduated in 2003 with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology degree and received her license shortly after. Heather had worked in General Practice for 13 years before deciding to make the move to critical care.
Heather is married with 2 children that keep her busy with their activities. She also has 2 cats, Mittens and Maxwell, a Russian Tortoise named Tucker and Blue her son's Beta Fish.
In her spare time she enjoys playing volleyball (sand and court), camping, photography and anything to do with being outside.
