Rachael was born in Omaha, and grew up on Colorado. She moved back to Nebraska in 1999, and graduated with her Veterinary Technician Associates in Applied Science from Vatterott College in 2005. She worked at a local emergency clinic for five years before joining the team at VCA MidWest Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center in May 2010. She initially worked with the Surgery Department, but developed a love for Internal Medicine. She joined the Internal Medicine Department in 2013, and has truly cherished the opportunities to bond with both her patients and their families.
Rachael has a tremendous ability to make her patients feel at ease during their time at VCA MidWest Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center. Often called the "patient whisperer" she is able to quickly develop a rapport with patients presented to our team for evaluation and support. Rachael consistently strives to make sure pet parents feel at ease during their visits to VCA MidWest Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center, spending as much time as necessary to explain as much as possible.
Rachael is the proud mother of 4 children, and enjoys spending time with her husband, her kids, and her pets. She has a menagerie of dogs and cats at home, all of which are very much spoiled!
