Departments: Emergency Medicine Education: Currently Enrolled-Penn Foster, Veterinary Technology Program
Sarah has always had a love for animals, having home videos of her hugging and kissing her dogs as a toddler. Every time being asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, it was a different career in the animal field. In high school, she was part of the Zoo Academy, a program which allows students to attend their last two years of high school at the Omaha Zoo. This let her focus fully on her love for animals and grow on it. She began Penn Foster College in 2016 to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Sarah continues to focus on her career in veterinary medicine by doing additional internship experiences. She has interned at the Omaha Zoo, shadowing zoo keepers on their daily activities, and worked at a veterinary surgery clinic. Once she completes her Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology she would like to focus her career on emergency medicine and rescue work. She wants to make the most positive impact for the animals who need it most!
Sarah loves anything outdoors. You will always find her in a forest with her golden retriever, Beau, in her free time. She continually plans kayaking and camping trips with her loved ones.
