Kalandra (better known to her team as "Kal") graduated from Papillion-LaVista High School before moving to Denver, CO where she enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program at the Bel-Rea Institute. She graduated in 2015 with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. While completing her degree Kalandra did multiple internships at Aspen Meadows Veterinary Specialists, Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, and the Nebraska Humane Society.
After completion of her degree Kalandra immediately started working in emergency medicine accepting a position at VCA Alameda East Veterinary hospital, the hospital featured on Animal Plant's: Emergency Vets. Kalandra continued her focus in emergency and critical care and took a position at Four Seasons Veterinary Specialists and ER in Loveland, CO. Looking to move closer to home Kalandra came to VCA Midwest in the Winter 2016. Kalandra brings a strong leadership and emergency and critical care expertise to the VCA MidWest team.
