Team Spotlight
Dr. Yvette Pennington is a 2000 graduate of Louisiana State University's School of Veterinary Medicine, so of course her blood does run purple and gold (Geaux Tigers!). Prior to veterinary school, she served in the United States Navy as an electrical engineer. Dr. Pennington's veterinary career is long and varied, from a high volume, high quality spay/neuter clinic to time in emergency medicine. If there is a golden retriever in the building, you can bet she's going to try to steal it!

Our team is excited to have Kathrin "Kat" Zupancic as the hospital manager for VCA Animal Care Center of Mt. Juliet. She has been with VCA for two years, but has been in the veterinary field off and on for over 20 years. She is a mom to two amazing teenagers, Logan (15) and Willow (14). She is also a mom to three pets - Thunder and Lighting, who are 4-year-old sibling Chihuahuas, and Sir Wilbur Nibbles-worth, who is a 12-year-old diabetic cat that she adopted after he was surrendered.
