At VCA New London Animal Hospital each staff member has several pets of their own. We all consider our pets to be our family. In fact, even though we may have pure breeds, we consider them all to be mixed breeds, all of them are half human! Our common passion is to make your pets feel comfortable when they are at our hospital, to treat them just as we would treat our own when they are here. That means that every patient receives extraordinary, comfortable stress-free care in an effort to help you keep your pets happy and healthy for years to come.

Team Spotlight
Melanie has lived in New London County since she was four years old and has been a part of the VCA team since 1997! Melanie has wanted to work in the pet health care industry since she was seven years old. The love she shared for her childhood dogs made her set a goal to work with animals and she now co-manages VCA New London Animal Hospital. Melanie and her Husband, Rob, have two cats, Ishmael and Panda. In her spare time Melanie enjoys hiking with her family.
Kelly has been part of the veterinary field since 2005, and she joined the VCA team in December 2021. She became the co-hospital manager in 2023. She grew up in southeastern Connecticut, where she graduated from Ledyard High School with a focus on animal sciences. She and her husband, Luke, currently reside in Norwich. Together, they have three children and an energetic pit bull/beagle mix named Kiko.
