Angela Banz
Veterinary Specialist DVM, DACVS

After receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Texas A&M University in 2004, Dr. Angela Banz completed a rotating small animal internship followed by a surgical specialty internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Banz then completed her surgical residency in the San Francisco Bay Area at Sage Veterinary Centers and became board certified in 2010. She stayed with Sage as staff surgeon until the end of 2020.

Dr. Banz and her family made the decision to move to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and joined VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists in January 2021. She is excited about the new adventures that await in the area, and taking care of your pets to help bring them health and wellness as well as foster the human-animal bond.

She enjoys all aspects of small animal surgery, both soft tissue and orthopedic with special interests in oncologic, respiratory, and minimally invasive surgery. Her work in a collaborative capacity with your primary veterinarian and the other specialties at VCA provides comprehensive and integrated care to ensure best outcomes.

When not working, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband (another highly talented surgeon at VCA NWVS) and two children; traveling; enjoying outdoor activities such as snowboarding, running, and hiking; and creative expression through baking and crafting. She can often be found at her son's soccer games and daughter's dance performances and competitions. Her furry family includes an elderly dachshund, Lucy, young husky, Kila, and 3 cats, Murphy, Sierra, and Molson.
