Dr. Tracy Landreth was born and raised on Oahu, Hawaii. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Hanover College in southern Indiana and then returned to Oahu for two years to do graduate studies in Animal Science at the University of Hawaii. She received her DVM from Michigan State University in 2014 and completed a small animal rotating internship at VCA Veterinary Care and Referral Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Since then, Dr. Landreth has worked as an emergency clinician in Santa Fe, NM, Michigan, and the Bay Area before joining VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists.
Dr. Landreth has always enjoyed emergency medicine because of its unpredictability, but she finds that pain management and stabilization of critically ill patients are particularly rewarding.
Dr. Landreth and her family are happy to be in the Pacific Northwest where they can enjoy hiking, going to the beach, rock climbing, and eating from food trucks. They have a pit bull named Della who enjoys hiking, going to the beach, sleeping in the sun while her parents climb, and cleaning up the toddlers' dropped food truck scraps. They also have a tuxedo cat named Piper whose hobbies include convincing his family members to pet him 24/7, opening pizza boxes, and trying to devise a plan to escape out the front door.
