Dr. Lauren Sumida grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii. She completed her undergraduate studies at Washington State University where she and her husband fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. She then returned home to Hawaii where she worked as a veterinary technician for several years before attending veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts. She completed her clinical year at Oregon State University.

Dr. Sumida's veterinary interests include preventive medicine, oncology, and anesthesia. She enjoys doing wellness visits and caring for senior pets.

Dr. Sumida has one dog and one cat, and in her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
