Dr. Christy was born and raised in Tonawanda, NY. After graduating from Kenmore East High School in 2014, she attended Medaille College in Buffalo, NY. She was a dual major completing an Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology in 2017 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2018. Dr. Christy then attended the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, where she graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2023. While completing her studies at Medaille and the Ontario Veterinary College, Dr. Christy worked for Sheridan Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant and veterinary technician for 8 years.

Dr. Christy's professional interests include surgery, emergency and preventative medicine, and mentoring students. In her free time, she enjoys reading, trying new foods, and exploring outdoors with her lab mix, Mary.
