Growing up in a family surrounded by a variety of animals fostered a natural sense of comfort and connection with them. They have worked in a range of fields, from nursing homes to retail, but none have compared to their current role.
Working in an environment that provides new knowledge each day, while witnessing the deep bond between pets and their owners, is incredibly rewarding. As a VCA team member, they have developed the skills needed to care for animals from a medical perspective, ensuring pets receive the support they need.
Being part of a team dedicated to improving the health and well-being of ill pets is one of the many reasons this work feels more like a calling than a job. Over time, it becomes difficult not to form meaningful connections with the pets in their care, whether they are visiting for boarding or medical treatment.
