I have been the Hospital Manager here at VCA Stirling Square for 30 years. Believe it or not, we actually have clients who have been coming to this community practice for that many years and will greet me with "I can't believe you are still here!".
This is a testament to just how much passion I have for animals, my dedicated staff and serving our wonderful clients and their furry family members. We have a mantra here: We treat your pet like family, and we truly strive to deliver that day in and day out.
I grew up in a very rural setting in northern Indiana where my family visited my grandparents working farm every weekend. There were horses, cows, pigs, chickens and the best of all, new baby kittens always! Reflecting back on the years gone by and all of the pets who have graced me with their presence, I realized I am now up to 14 who now live on in my memory and 4 current pets who allow my husband and I to share their living space: Cashew Poodle, Bad Betty, Willow and Sir Regis, the only cat who rules all. All of these 18 beloved animals were rescued or abandoned. They just seem to walk into my life.
My weekends are spent with my second career passion for Thoroughbred racehorses. Together with my best friend and partner, we breed to sell and race these magnificent creatures and I can spend hours in their presence.
My down time is spent cuddling with my four-legged friends, reading one book after another, gardening, walks in the park or neighborhood, and lovely weekend naps with my husband.
