Dr. Hemstreet grew up all over the Carolinas. Originally from Charlotte, she knew as a small child she wanted to be a veterinarian one day. She earned her B.S. in Biology from Furman University in 2015, and was accepted to North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2019; go Wolfpack! 

Dr. Hemstreet loves all aspects of veterinary medicine but has grown particularly fond of dermatology, ophthalmology, and dentistry. 

After work, Dr. Hemstreet is often found exploring Charlotte with her husband and their goofy basset hound Louie. She enjoys yoga and finding live music wherever she can in Queen City!
