When I was a kid, my parents welcomed a sweet little cockapoo puppy into our family. I had always wanted a dog, particularly my own, but a family one would do. Over the many years she spent with our family, my love for caring, training, and helping pets grew stronger. It eventually led to me taking an internship class in high school, where I visited a small animal veterinary clinic a few times a week to assist with tasks around the hospital. Through the many hours of observing surgeries, helping restrain pets, and learning the ropes of being a veterinary technician, I developed a particular interest in the pet care/boarding side of things. When I wasn't helping with medical cases, I was playing fetch with the day care dogs and brushing the cats that were staying in boarding while their owners were out of town. I found a passion for caring for pets that didn't necessarily need medical attention, but more so someone to keep them company while their owners were away for the day or week! I decided I wanted to focus more on the pet care side of the industry.
I started working for VCA Timpanogos Animal Hospital in 2022 as the kennel supervisor and have loved every second. I love that I get to see such a wide variety of dogs and cats of differing breeds and personalities, as well as meeting so many amazing people who love and care for their pets just as much. I find joy in providing high-quality care for pets while their owners are away, as well as helping ease the minds of owners while they are traveling.
Outside of work, I love spending my time with close friends and family, riding and training horses, and I'm always ready for a good game night!
