Dr. Doolittle was born and raised in Kansas and earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Baker University. After spending a year working as a veterinary technician at a private animal clinic, as well as manufacturing vaccines at Ceva, where she helped produce poultry vaccines, she began veterinary school at Kansas State University in 2016 and graduated in 2020. She then spent four years practicing at a 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital in Oklahoma City, gaining extensive experience in emergency and critical care. After starting a family, Dr. Doolittle returned to Kansas and joined VCA Welborn as a small animal surgeon, where she is able to focus on her passion for surgery. She continues to work occasional relief shifts at local emergency hospitals in the Kansas City area.
Outside of work, Dr. Doolittle is a mother to two boys, Mason and Michael, and four dogs—Marnie, Mia, Nala, and Rocky. She enjoys trail walks with her dogs, spending time with her family, watching documentaries with her husband, and traveling.
Her professional interests include surgery, ultrasound, emergency medicine, nutrition, and dermatology.
