Tiernan joined VCA in 2021 as a veterinary assistant, and then joined VCA Animal Hospital of Plainfield in 2025. Originally from Evansville, she went to Indiana University and earned a BA in biology and a BS in animal behavior. She continues her education as a student of Penn Foster for the veterinary technology program. Tiernan also authored an article published in Functional Ecology about birds and climate change (ID: FEC14704). We are lucky to have Tiernan as a part of the VCA family!
On a personal note, Tiernan has two cats; Levi and Shizu. She enjoys weight lifting, hiking, arts/crafts, and anime.
Tiernan's goal when working with animals is to help them feel better while also putting their owner's minds at ease. It means a great deal to Tiernan to work with people that feel the same way!
