I am blessed to have spent a lot of time at my father's veterinary hospital while growing up in small-town Indiana. Growing up with my dad's practice next door was a wonderful experience that gave me an understanding of what it takes to be a terrific veterinarian.

I attended college at Northwestern University where one of the highlights was playing varsity lacrosse. I was a captain of the 2005 team that went undefeated and won the NCAA Division I National Championship. After Northwestern University, I received my veterinary degree with distinction/honors from Purdue University.

My wife, Lya, and I live in Redondo Beach with our rescue dog and cat, Summit and Frank. You may spot me running on The Strand or playing tennis at Live Oak Park. Summit, Lya and I enjoy paddleboarding and hiking together, as well. My identical twin sister, Courtney, also resides in the South Bay. In addition to running marathons, she and I hiked the 220 mile John Muir Trail from Yosemite Valley to Mount Whitney. In my remaining free time, I volunteer as a medical board advisor for the non-profit, Paw Philanthropy, which helps with medical expenses for dogs in need.

Getting to know my patients and their owners is my favorite part of being a veterinarian. I am constantly in awe of the complexity and strength of the bond between pets and their human parents and I am honored to play a role in keeping pets and pet parents together for as long as possible. Although I love to celebrate happy and healthy pets, I also find reward in providing knowledge and support in those difficult times. My goal is to improve the quality of life for all involved and I am grateful that I get to do this daily!
