Dr. Sharmei Vicente is a DVM graduate from Tufts University. She did a 1-yr internship at the Animal Medical Center in NYC and then continued on as an ER doctor and hospitalist for the next 4 1/2 years at an emergency and specialty clinic in the Boston area. Dr. Vicente originally hails from Hong Kong, but made the move to Boston for school and stayed local to that area until deciding to join us here at VCA ASEC. Her professional interests include renal and hepatic diseases, or anything along the lines of internal medicine cases. Her goal is to continue to be the best ER veterinarian she can and become a solid mentor and teacher for new vets. She enjoys taking care of her houseplants, hiking, rock climbing, playing video games and hanging out with her partner and pets during her off time.
