DVM
Dr. Boschee received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2006 from the University of Minnesota. She then continued on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University graduating with honors. After graduation, Dr. Boschee elected to pursue further training and was accepted for a challenging internship at Cornell University where she underwent rigorous training in internal medicine, surgery and critical care. Following completion of her internship, Dr. Boschee moved to Colorado where she joined a busy emergency and referral practice as an emergency clinician, a role that enabled her to manage a multitude of complex medical and surgical cases. Guided by her desire to be close to family, Dr. Boschee and her husband moved back to Minnesota in 2015 at which time she joined the University of Minnesota as faculty and Section Chief of the Urgent Care Service. At the time, Urgent Care was a novel concept in veterinary medicine with Dr. Boschee successfully launching one of only three Urgent Care Services at the University level in the country. Alongside her clinic duties Dr. Boschee also dedicated her time teaching future veterinarians through various wet labs and lectures. In 2020, Dr. Boschee was delighted to join the highly skilled team at VCA Animal Wellness Center. Her professional interests include emergency and critical care, ophthalmology, cardiology and soft tissue surgery.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Boschee is an active member in the veterinary community serving on the Admissions Committee for prospective DVM students, community outreach promoting STEM in underserved cities and as a mentor to current DVM students.
Dr. Boschee's husband is also a veterinarian and they are parents to two highly energetic and entertaining kids. Any free time she may have is spent practicing yoga, relaxing on the water up north, running or reading a good book.
