Pain Management

We know that animals experience pain the same way and to the same degree we do. The only difference is that they express pain differently than a human does. We get noisy and complain or cry while veterinary patients just get quiet. But an animal is experiencing the same pain we would for the given procedure.

Our doctors devise a pain management plan for each patient. The plan is tailored specifically to the individual’s needs taking into account all of their health concerns. Surgery patients receive pain medications before (i.e. preemptively), during and after their procedure. Comfortable, relaxed patients can be go home sooner, heal more quickly and have a faster return to normal activity.
