Valerie has lived in the Bay Area her entire life. She entered the veterinary field in 2001 and has spent the entire time at VCA Bay Area, mostly because of her deep love for animals and the wonderful and supportive team she works with every day. She has 2 furry children, a 16 year old Siamese cat named Sharde that is her heart and a 4 year old Chihuahua mix named Mercedes that she adopted from VCA Bay Area when she was abandoned at the hospital at only 2 months of age. Mercedes is now the princess of VCA Bay Area and comes to work with her mom every day. When Valerie is not at the hospital, she enjoys shopping and hanging out with close friends.
