Cher Canaday, Staff Veterinarian

Dr. Cher Canaday has been a resident of metro Atlanta since childhood and received both her Bachelor of Science and veterinary medicine degrees from the University of Georgia. Dr. Canaday entered the veterinary field as a vet assistant over 20 years ago. She then became a licensed veterinary technician in 2005 before attending veterinary school from 2006-2010. Dr. Canaday is particularly interested in internal medicine including the challenges of managing the geriatric patient and feline medicine. Other interests include dentistry and diagnostic ultrasound. She is a strong supporter of stress free handling techniques and enjoys developing lasting relationships with her clients through preventative well care as well as disease management and treatment.

Outside of work, Dr. Canaday rides and shows horses and attends multiple local and regional hunter/jumper competitions throughout the year. She owns 3 horses (Clark, Roper and Ditto), 2 dogs (Ernie and Lola) and 2 cats (Carrie and Charlotte).
