Being raised on a farm, Starra has always had a love for animals. She became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2002, graduating from Mount San Antonio College. She took a few years off to raise her 3 children, but has been back at VCA California Oaks Animal Hospital since 2011. Her furry companions include 2 dogs named Willow and Jaxon, also 2 cats named Angel Cake and Tickle Toes. Her hobbies include teaching Veterinary medicine, hiking and writing children's stories. What she likes most about VCA California Oaks is “the quality veterinary care that we give to every patient that comes into our hospital. My favorite part of working at VCA is monitoring anesthesia and radiology.
