Team Spotlight
Dr. Wentzel is the Medical Director at California Oaks Animal Hospital. He has been with Cal Oaks since 2005. His areas of interest are internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, and preventative medicine. He has extended interest in abdominal ultrasound and in surgical correction of stifle (knee) injuries, including cruciate injury and luxating patella.
Prior to joining COVH in 2005, Dr. Wentzel served for 10 years as a staff veterinarian in a small animal practice in Wisconsin.
Felisha joined the VCA Cal Oaks family in 2016 after graduating from Platt College, and in 2017, she earned her registered veterinary technician (RVT) license. Growing up in Murrieta, Felisha developed a passion for the veterinary field after her dog, Fera, inspired her to advocate for rescuing high-energy dogs in need of homes. She believes that many dogs are misunderstood due to a lack of knowledge about different breeds.
