At VCA Chatoak Animal Hospital, we help pets live long, healthy and happy lives. We deliver the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners.
Our veterinarians, technicians and other pet-friendly support staff are trained to the highest standards. Their thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medications ensures that all our patients receive the best in preventive and healing care.
VCA Chatoak (formerly Pet Medical Center Chatoak) was founded in 1965. We have been in the same location ever since and are certified by the American Animal Hospital Association. Our most important goal is providing excellent veterinary medical care for the dogs and cats in our neighborhood, Chatsworth, Northridge, Woodland Hills, and Porter Ranch, and we take that responsibility seriously.
It's rewarding to know that you and your pet feel comfortable and cared for when you come to us for veterinary medical care. Even though we are one of the largest practices in the San Fernando Valley, every staff member at VCA Chatoak will listen to your needs. We will involve you with your pet's veterinary care each step of the way. Our veterinarians and technicians take the time to explain treatments with compassion and empathy. We are delighted to teach you how to take the best care of your pet at home so that you have a long life together.
Our mission is to provide a lifetime of quality, compassionate veterinary care to our clients, their pets, and our community, thus enriching the human-animal bond. We do this through a team approach that encourages the education of our staff and clients in a friendly, respectful environment.
Why Choose Us for Veterinary Care?
VCA Chatoak is your neighborhood veterinary clinic, but we are not a specialty referral facility. We get to know you and your pet. VCA Chatoak emphasizes compassionate veterinary care.
The professional staff at VCA Chatoak is a group of caring, knowledgeable individuals. Your dog or cat is treated like a member of our family. We always work with you and answer any questions to your satisfaction. We are your neighbors and look forward to being your pet's friend too.
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.
The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) represents practitioners in the veterinary community who are passionate about the care of cats and supports its members in improving the health and welfare of feline patients. With a reputation as a leader in the field of feline medicine, the AAFP helps veterinary practices establish a feline-friendly environment that reduces stress for cats during veterinary visits.
We harness the scale and strength of our global network while acknowledging each individual's contribution. We work locally to improve the lives of all who interact with our brand.
