Dr. Kifle obtained his Bachelor's degree in agricultural science for Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia and Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from George Mason University. Dr. Kifle received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Kishinev Veterinary University in Moldova (former Soviet Union), and served his clinical internship at Louisiana State University. Before returning to general practice five years ago, Dr. Kifle worked as a senior research scientist at various pharmaceutical companies in the areas of toxicology, oncology, and cardiovascular disease, authoring and co-authoring multiple research publications. In his spare time, he loves to be outside: cycling and running. Dr. Kifle resides in Gaithersburg, Maryland with his wife and daughter and is often found spoiling his Goldendoodle, Conner.
