Dr. Nasser graduated from UC Davis in 2006 and has been with the Community Companion family ever since. Prior to veterinary school, she worked in human medicine as a paramedic and believes that is where her interest in the human-animal bond, especially for the elderly, took hold. She believes in pragmatic medicine when practical and specialized care when necessary. She is an advocate for hospice care for pets and believes that quality of life is as important as quantity. Besides working for VCA, she also is an active board member for the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, where you may see her providing care for the animals and guidance for the staff on both housing and enrichment for the animals.
In her free time, Dr. Nasser enjoys relaxing at home with her husband and their cats, listening to jazz music, traveling by train, and hiking in the Lake Tahoe area.
