Dr. Mary Watkins grew up in Indianapolis. She always had a love for animals and a desire for a career working with them. Dr. Watkins attended College of Charleston in South Carolina, where she completed a B.S. in Marine Biology as well as a B.A. in Spanish. She then attended Oklahoma State University's School of Veterinary Medicine and obtained her DVM. While in both college and veterinary school, Dr. Watkins enjoyed spending her summers working at a wildlife rehabilitation center, where she still occasionally volunteers her time. 
 
Dr. Watkins' career interests include nutrition and emergency medicine. She is excited to be back in the Indianapolis area after so many years in South Carolina and Oklahoma! When not working, Dr. Watkins enjoys cooking, reading, travelling, trying new classes at the gym, and exploring the outdoors with her dog, Sesame.
