Originally from Maryland, Dr. George Taylor earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University in 2000 and is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology. With more than two decades of experience, Dr. Taylor has developed special interests in geriatric medicine and dentistry. He is passionate about helping pets maintain comfort, health, and quality of life at every stage.
Known for his calm and compassionate approach, Dr. Taylor strives to make both animals and their owners feel at ease. He considers it a true blessing to serve others through his work and views veterinary medicine as both a calling and a privilege. Dr. Taylor is honored to be part of the VCA team and values the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated group of professionals who share his commitment to exceptional patient care.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Taylor enjoys weightlifting, hiking, and other outdoor adventures. He and his wife, who was his high school sweetheart, have adopted two boys through the foster care system, a journey that has become another passion in his life. Their home is a lively, multigenerational household shared with his mother-in-law and adult children, representing three generations under one roof. The family also shares their home with several rescue dogs adopted over the past five years, each one a cherished member of the family.
