Brianna, Veterinary Assistant
Ever since I was little I dreamt of fulfilling a career working with animals. It took a couple weeks of research and a job shadow for me to decide I wanted to become a Veterinary Assistant! I attended Kirkwood Community College after high school and graduated with my Veterinary Assistant diploma. Because this work field is so rewarding I can't imagine myself doing anything else for a career other than this. Being able to interact with animals while learning new things every day is what I cherish most about my career.
When I am not at work I am either spending time with my friends and family or taking my dog Lily on hikes. I am also a dedicated volunteer at a local shelter. I am often helping with the shelter adoption events, helping to find new homes for the animals, or simply spending time with the shelter animals and teaching them new tricks.
