Sky is originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico. She recently moved to Fort Collins to attend CSU's DVM program after being admitted for the fall of 2025! When she becomes a veterinarian, she wants to work with small animals and exotics. Her interests in veterinary medicine include radiology, oncology, internal medicine, research, conservation, and teaching. She received her AS and BS in biology from Northern New Mexico College and her MS in biology from Eastern New Mexico University. During her time as an undergrad she conducted research with various fish species, and she worked as a veterinary technician where she gained almost four years of small animal experience. She decided to come here and work at VCA before starting veterinary school to gain more experience, and so she could continue staying involved in animal care and client education. She loves to spend time with her boyfriend, kitty Minerva (Min Min), and dog Lady (Lady Bug), do crossword puzzles, read novels, watch movies and tv shows, exercise, go to concerts, travel, and go hiking.
