Spryng Intra-Articular Injectable

By Kayla Hyland, BA, DVM, CHPV

What is Spryng® intra-articular injectable?

Spryng® intra-articular injectable is an injectable device composed of two naturally derived proteins (bovine collagen and elastin) and a carbohydrate (porcine heparin glycan). It is used to help manage non-infectious causes of joint pain in cats, dogs, and horses. When injected into a joint, it creates a spongy matrix that increases joint support and shock absorption, providing a cushioning effect like healthy cartilage.

It is approved as a veterinary medical device by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Health Canada. Spryng® is to be administered only by trained veterinarians and off-label (extra-label) use is not recommended.
