Caterine Wendt received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2009 from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. She also completed her bachelor's with double majors in Biology and Spanish at UGA in 2005. Dr. Wendt is a native Brazilian and was born and raised in Brazil until her family moved to Florida for a better life when she was 7 years old. She speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish (for any client that needs the services of a tri-lingual doctor). Her medical interests include behavior, internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry, and surgery. Dr. Wendt is an avid traveler and a Harry Potter fan and her favorite thing to do is to go to theme parks.
Her furry family members include "CocoNUT," who is a white cat and her name is written that way because she has a crazy streak! In addition, she has a young adult golden retriever named Madison, who keeps her smiling with her antics.
Dr. Wendt is passionate about providing the best quality care to all her patients and to providing education to her clients. She prioritizes a more personal experience for the client and their pet and wants to be your lifetime veterinarian and friend. Dr. Wendt joined us here at VCA Little Animal Hospital in 2017 and currently is our only FT Associate.
