Shawn is a Sunnyvale, California native. She graduated from the Carrington College Veterinary Technology Program in September of 2014 and got her Registered Veterinary Technician license shortly thereafter. Shawn joined the VCA family in 2015.

What Shawn enjoys the most about her job is that she can be an advocate for her pet patients in their treatment and that she has the opportunity to use Fear Free medicine to ensure her patients are treated well. She treats every patient that comes into the hospital as if they were her own pet. Shawn enjoys learning new things every day and is very thorough in her care of her patients.

Outside of the hospital, Shawn enjoys walking, traveling and watching movies. You can also find her spending time with family, friends, and her cats, Madison and Champ.
