Microchipping

Everyone’s heard stories of the furry family member who … never came home again.

t’s heartbreaking, and always leaves pet owners wondering what they could or should have done differently.

Microchip pet identification is a safe way to permanently identify your pet and you as the owner. Microchipping involves placement of a small electronic chip the size and shape of a piece of rice just under the skin of the neck area. The chip is injected with a needle, just like a regular vaccine injection.

If your pet is lost and is taken to any humane society or veterinary hospital, your pet will be scanned for the chip (just like the bar-code scanner at your grocery store). And you’ll be contacted to be reunited with your missing family member!

We recommend this system of identification as well as the traditional collar identification on your pet.
