Caring for pets means meeting a wide range of needs beyond health care. Fortunately, there’s a whole community of organizations and businesses eager to help. Here’s where to meet the local groups that we recommend to our pet-loving families.
Camp Pendelton Military Working Dogs
The mission of the Camp Pendleton Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) is to not only provide complete medical and surgical care for the military working dogs (MWDs), but to also provide high quality veterinary care at a reasonable cost for the pets of our military community.
San Diego Humane Society
Serving San Diego County since 1880, San Diego Humane Society operates campuses in San Diego, Escondido and Oceanside.http://www.sdhumane.org
Last Chance at Life Rescue
Last Chance at Life is an all-breed rescue and adoption organization. Their rescues come to them from local shelters and humane societies, owners who can no longer properly care for them, and sometimes through other rescue groups. Most often these animals are facing euthanasia because of medical or behavioral needs. Because of this, they are truly their Last Chance at Life.https://lastchanceatlife.org
Dog Sense Training
Dog Sense Dog Training brings a new approach to communication between you and your best friend. Our canine companions are amazing creatures, however, they speak a very different language than us humans. Dogs do not communicate with words or sentences so, in order to help them understand what is expected of them, WE need to speak THEIR language.http://dogsense.training
