Dr. Charles Coats graduated undergrad from the University of Kansas and then from Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Dr. Coats transferred to VCA Murphy Road from our sister hospital, VCA Blue Cross in Las Vegas, in October 2021.

Dr. Coats enjoys ophthalmology and geriatric medicine.

When not at work, Dr. Coats enjoys spending time with his family and his fur family (Abby, the dog; Ellie and Gwen, the cats). Dr. Coats enjoys the Chiefs, the Jayhawks, trying new beer and whiskey, and running.
