I am a licensed veterinary technician with over 35 years of experience in the veterinary field. Working with animals has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I began my career right out of high school as a kennel attendant with plans to attend veterinary school. I enrolled at UNLV as a pre-vet student, but soon realized that I was happiest in roles where I could have direct, hands-on involvement with patients. That shift led me to become a veterinary assistant and eventually to enroll in the first Veterinary Technician Program at CSN, where I earned my LVT license in 1999.
One of my favorite parts of the job is dental care—I love transforming a difficult, unhealthy mouth into one that's clean, healthy, and comfortable. It's incredibly rewarding to see the difference good dental health makes for our patients, both inside and out.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, my dog, my many cats, and yes—even my pet pigeons. I love exploring museums and state parks, traveling, reading (especially Stephen King), and getting lost in movies, concerts, and plays.
