Melissa has been a veterinary assistant with VCA Newark Animal Hospital since 2020 after transferring from another VCA. Having an interest in veterinary medicine for a long time, Melissa received her Bachelor's in Animal Science from Rutgers University in 2013. She began her career in 2011, first with a General Practice hospital, though soon found a passion for emergency medicine when working as a Specialty Surgical and Emergency veterinary assistant. While born and raised in New Jersey, she now resides in Middletown with her husband, daughter, three cats, and one dog.
