Elizabeth Connelly, Veterinary Assistant

Elizabeth is originally from Northern Virginia and moved down to Maryland in 2012. Starting at a young age, she has always had a big heart for animals. Originally, she was a psychology major turned criminal justice major and now majoring in laboratory management in hopes of becoming a veterinarian. After volunteering at an animal shelter, she realized where her heart truly was. It didn't matter how many Science courses she would have to take anymore, she decided that working with animals truly made her happy. Elizabeth has been in the veterinary field for about 2 years now and absolutely loves it. She started at VCA North Rockville as a receptionist in 2018 and quickly took the opportunity to become a veterinary technician. She currently owns 2 very sweet Bichon mixed boys and 2 crazy ferret boys.

"I have always loved animals and caring for them. If I could give a healthy and loving home to every animal out there, I would. Instead I do what I can and I give each and every animal I meet all the love, patience, and compassion from my heart. Animals deserve love, compassion, and transparency because that's all they can give us. I love what I do, not only because I enjoy it but because we can actually change lives even if little by little."
