Dr. Barbara Kieszkowski (“Dr. K” or “Dr. Kiesz”) is originally from northern Indiana, but has always called West Lafayette home after moving here in 2006 for her education. Dr. Kieszkowski received her bachelor's in animal science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine both from the wonderful Purdue University! Dr. Kieszkowski has a special interest in internal medicine, dermatology/wound management, and surgery, just to name a few!

Rene joined the Paw Prints team in 2012. Rene came to Paw Prints as an experienced veterinary assistant and was the team lead for veterinary support staff for eight years prior to becoming hospital manager in 2020. Outside of work, Rene enjoys the outdoors - gardening, bird watching and horseback riding with her son and husband. They are accompanied at home by two feline companions, Elphaba and Glinda, and four Quarter Horses, Peppy, Barlow, Ranger, and Pine.
