Genessis brings over 10 years of experience in the veterinary field to her role as hospital manager, along with a strong passion for animal care and team leadership. She began her journey as a kennel attendant while in college, gradually working her way up through various roles in veterinary hospitals. Through dedication and a genuine love for the field, she has grown into a key leader at VCA PetPoint. She attended UC Davis and Cal Poly Pomona, earned her degree in criminology, and also spent time working in the legal field. While a long-term career in veterinary medicine wasn't part of the original plan, it has become a space where Genessis has found a deep sense of purpose. She enjoys supporting patients through compassionate care and helping their families better understand their pets' needs through education and empathy.
Genessis is especially passionate about team development and takes pride in providing mentorship opportunities for others in the field. Seeing team members grow, build confidence, and discover their own veterinary passions is one of the most rewarding aspects of her leadership role. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three senior pets—two Shih Tzus named Ricky and Diesel, and her Burmese cat named Puff. Her free time is often filled with family, friends, live music, traveling, books, and movies.
Genessis is excited to meet you and your pets, and is committed to ensuring a supportive, caring experience for every client and team member who walks through the door.
