Katie joined the VCA family in November of 2023. She brings 20 years of customer service and over a decade of management experience under her belt in the fields of animal welfare and human health care. She has always been passionate about improving the quality of life for people and animals, and for making a difference in her community. Fostering, rescue work (especially medical/special needs and bottle babies) and helping under resourced communities get medical care for their animals is very close to her heart. As a person who has loved animals of all kinds her whole life, she is excited to bring her diverse professional background and use it to help make a difference for the fur babies and their families here at VCA San Martin! Katie is a cat mom to five cats (Freckle, Monk, Squid, Bug and Tres) and a human mom to her two girls, Roxanne and Allyson. In her spare time, she loves to experiment in the kitchen, read manga, go camping, ride her one wheel and listen to live music with her partner, Josh, and family.
