Katie joined the VCA family in November 2023. She brings 20 years of customer service experience and more than a decade in management across animal welfare and human health care. What connects all of her work is a love of helping people and animals, especially when they need someone willing to go the extra mile.
Rescue work is especially close to Katie's heart. She has fostered medical and special needs animals, cared for bottle babies, and helped families in under-resourced communities' access veterinary care for their pets. At VCA San Martin, she loves supporting both the animals who come through the doors and the people who love them.
At home, Katie is mom to Roxanne, Allyn, and three cats: Squid, Bug, and Tri-tip. She also claims her daughter's two rats, Bubonic and Plague, as her "grandbabies." When she is away from the hospital, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, reading romance novels, camping, riding PEVs, and listening to live music with her partner, Josh.
