Mosquitoes aren’t the only ones bothered by DEET. Cats and dogs exposed to DEET can develop a variety of symptoms including vomiting, diarrhea, disorientation, tremors and seizures. DEET is also a serious irritant if it ends up sprayed in the eyes or accidentally inhaled.
