Dr. Mani earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1995. She then completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Her advanced training includes a Doctor of Science degree from the Harvard School of Public Health in Immunology and Infectious Diseases, as well as three master's degrees: a Master of Science in Bioethics from Albany Medical College, a Master of Science in Animal Welfare and Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Public Health degree at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, which she expects to complete in 2026. Dr. Mani is also board-certified in Canine and Feline Practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and joined the staff at VCA South Shore (Weymouth) Animal Hospital as part of the General Practice team in 2026.
Dr. Mani has extensive experience in both general and emergency medicine. She also shares her time with VCA Brookline Animal Hospital, where she has been providing both primary care and urgent care services for over a decade. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Mani is actively involved in the broader veterinary and medical communities. She has authored multiple scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, has been invited to speak at professional conferences, and is the former editor of Clinician's Brief. Dr. Mani also serves as the Scientific Lead for Infectious Disease & Content Quality for Instinct Science and is the current president of the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association.
